Welcome,
​Enjoy Local History 

 Find Kneehill County's history at 1301 2nd St. NE, in Three Hills, and tour throughout the six buildings plus railcars,  all housing thousands of artefacts.  Get the scoop on local resources at the Visitor Information Centre.   Hear about area stories kept in the history library--helped by a willing staff. This Alberta Museums Association Recognized Museum can help you connect to the past.  During the fall and winter season, volunteers can come guide you through the buildings and grounds--just call ahead  403-443-1221.  School tours welcome!

We are dedicated to sharing our story in the Kneehill County, and preserving the history of the parkland-to-plains region of Southern Alberta. With our wide range of artefacts donated from this area, we are able to comprehensively showcase what life was like here over 100 years ago!

Who We Are


The Kneehill Historical Museum is operated by the Kneehill Historical Society, a non-profit, CRA registered organization dedicated to preserving the history of the people, events, and culture of Kneehill County.
A Recognized Museum by Alberta Museums Association, Society members strive to uphold museum standards, as well as operate an accredited Alberta Visitor  Information Centre.  Staff are ready to help you with your inquires or questions as you explore the area.
