Visit Keiver's LakePat Burns, beef supplier for the CPR builders as well as to Treaty 7 people, free ranged cattle from Olds to Acme on the lush grasslands of many creeks. Creekbanks offered good protection for calving, and local homesteaders found work managing his herds. One of his many cattle camps bordered on the North side of Keiver's Lake, close to today's Keiver's Lake Campgrounds. Once crops were planted and fences went up, free ranging disappeared, along with the large herds.

Play Golf at Three HillsDown on the 'Flat' in the horse shoe of the Three Hills Creek, you'll find a beautiful golf course and RV park. Once the site of first settlement with a post office named Three Hills and nine or more coal mines, it disappeared once the G.T.P. railway was built (1911). Surveyors for the railway chose an easier route, on the plains, one that followed the trail of the buffalo and had access to several large deposits of coal. An exodus of homes, businesses and people to where the Town of Three Hills is today left little trace of the squat on the creek flats. And a sense of relief as spring floods covered the valley floor and washed out bridges often.

Visit The Trochu MuseumThis museum highlights the incredible history of Trochu from the 1890's onwards. Similar to other towns who moved toward the rail lines, Trochu shifted its valley location (St. Anne's Ranch) to the present townsite. Named for Armand Trochu, it's history reflects significant contributions by French settlers.

Visit The Carbon Farmer's Exchange Museum
Don't miss the "Carbon Murder Mysteries" enactment, available to all visitors. Coal mining was king, and competition fierce. Rich mining history expanded along the Kneehill valley with the coming of the CPR railline, a place where rich farming and ranching continue today.
